Molten Lava Chocolate Cupcake

Known also as lava cakes, our molten cakes are the answer to the most decadent chocolate craving. Who needs finger food when you have the option of sticking your fork into this dessert? This miniature riff on the sophisticated souffle combines a dense, molten chocolate-ganache center with light, airy chocolate cake. The cakes are baked until set, yet the centers will still look a little wet and wobbly.

Served warm after a 10 seconds high in the microwave, our cupcake is sure to melt your heart - one luscious bite at a time.

Kisses Cupcakes

One of my close friends has just returned from the States and she brought me a big bag of Hershey’s Kisses that are ubiquitous of its adorable shape and one-bite convenient size. I thought they may look great on top of my signature cheese cupcakes and voila – they were indeed lovable and look delectable. A big hit after the introduction last week, I am going to make this more often as this really looks as great as it tastes!

Cream Cheese Chocolate Cupcakes - Kids Love Them!

Drizzle of dark chocolate and choc chips

We received an order last week from a lady who were organizing a birthday party for her 10 years old daughter. Her daughter has requested for chocolate cupcakes (most kids love chocolate anyway) with butter frosting but her mum doesn’t really fancy the too-filling butter cream. Our idea of topping the cupcakes with cream cheese instead of butter cream has been rewarded with praises and the kids just love them!

RM3.00 each. Truly for you and your beloved kids.

The cream cheese frosting melts with the marvelous chocolate base with the sandwiched hazelnut layer. We made a heap of these for the charity bazaar and they were gone like hot cakes!

Orange Cupcakes topped with Cream Cheese

Last week I bought a crate of oranges thinking to make some fresh orange juice for the family and out of sudden it sprung to my mind to make some orange cupcakes with some freshly squeezed orange juice. Wow, the cakes with natural orange juice are miles ahead than those with artificial flavorings and colorings. I added some milled hazelnut together with orange rinds which balances the tartness of the orange as well as adding some buttery flavor of the nuts.

Top them with a layer of cream cheese with swirls of chocolate sauce, they are definitely a hit in any parties and gatherings.

M&M Vanilla Cupcakes

It was Mother’s Day yesterday and the kids hoped to give something to their mums together with the handmade Happy Mother’s Day card that they have crafted themselves. They have very little pocket money left and thus I suggested to make some cupcakes for them to be given as an accompanying gift for their mum.

Plain vanilla cupcakes might be a little too bland for them and thus I put a splash of colours to them -M&Ms peanut chocolates surrounded with a swirl of vanilla icing. They looked attractive in the box and the kids liked them. The funniest thing was the kids asked their mum to have a bite of it after giving it to their mum!

Dark Chocolate Cupcakes with Toll House Chocolate Chips

This morning I stumbled upon a recipe which calls for good quality cocoa powder and coffee granules – MOCHA anyone? This recipe produces a cupcake with a moist texture and nice chocolate flavour that originated from using imported cocoa powder (I am using Hershey’s this time) that has been dissolved in hot water to bring out its full flavour. To further impart more chocolate flavour, I even added Toll House chocolate chips I have bought from the United States! Of course, no cupcake is complete without a frosting, and for these cupcakes the creamy vanilla frosting should complement the slight bitter aftertaste of the coffee bits in the cupcakes.

These beautiful chocolate cupcakes have a wonderful chocolate flavour and topped with chocolate rice to further heighten the chocolate pleasure. It tastes even more heavenly when warmed slightly in a microwave oven!

Available for orders at RM 3.00 each. Time for a chocolate indulgence!

Lemon Coconut Cupcakes: Full of Citrus Burst!

I came across this unusual recipe from a friend and decided to try it out: Lemon Coconut Cupcakes. The cupcake is filled with lemon curd bursting with citrus flavour and topped with generous amount of desiccated coconut. Surprisingly the combination works so well that my neighbours have been craving for them after having one. The slightly acidic zest of the lemon marries the tantalizing coconut – perhaps another match made in heaven?

Carrot Walnut Cupcakes with Cream Cheese Frosting

Combining some recipes found in from the Internet, I made this flavourful carrot cupcakes with lots of walnuts (love the stuff!!), juicy raisins and a soothing after taste of cinnamon. The texture is moist, the raisins absorb all the wonderful flavour of carrot and each of them are bursting with flavours and a tad of sweetness. I topped the cupcakes with a swirl of PHILLY cream cheese frosting and a toasted whole almond. It's a hit among my friends as the sweetness is spot on with the use of brown sugar.

I have made this available in my menu and selling them occasionally at StreetMall Flea Market at RM 3.00 each. Orders welcome!
